Body Autonomy over Commitment.

I'd rather be autonomous over my body than to be someone's wife/girlfriend/lover and feel stifled in my expression of self. This was my life for too long. And honestly when my relationship ended there was fear around whether I could be free in a way that was meaningful for me and also have a partner(s) that wouldn't feel threatened by my expression. I didn't have a real tangible answer at first so when I started dating again I just had to start setting the boundary, speaking up for myself a little stronger and letting situations go that even gave a wince of agitation in this area and eventually it started to show up consistently. Now I know without doubt that lovers do exist that have the capacity to meet me in this place of shamelessness because I am making tangible connections to them. I just made a promise to myself to never again sacrifice my vibrancy and spirit for a lover's ego, insecurties or unresolved shame. I am not willing to die in order to love you. I hope you make this promise to yourself too. Someone wants to love you? Let them face their demons and then choose freedom together. #reclaimingyoursexy
